Taking posed pictures of my own children is the greatest challenge I face as a photographer. It takes forever to get them ready, they are all over the place once they look nice, and following directions take heavy bribery.
I made matching white dresses for the girls a few weeks ago, but had yet to brave the photo shoot that would capture all their sisterly cuteness -- I was a little frightened. Today I took the pictures and am really happy with the results. Notice the kitten in all the pictures. I forgot to put him in the garage, so he was center stage. Thankfully, I caught Emma smiling without the "cheese" grin and Mandy, well, she is just always smiling.

I'd be jealous - except that my sister-in-law loves taking pictures too, so I know someday when we have kids there will be some great pictures of them floating around.
