The days don't seem to fly by so fast until I stop and stare into the eyes of a child I remember as a newborn just... yesterday?

My nephew Benton is 8 on Thursday and I'm telling ya, he was JUST a baby. Now he is a young man, full of all sorts of questions and lots of answers too (binomial nomenclature anyone?).

He's so smart, but oh, so sweet too.

Picture taking is not his favorite thing, but he complied because his mom asked him to.

He told me, "I'm trying to pretend this is what I want to be doing right now. Is it working?" And he did a great job!

I can tell he is growing up, because he's mastered the big-boy, barely there smile.... so cool.
